‘Double Dragon’ Is Officially Getting A 3D Revival On Xbox In 2025
The beat ’em up classic returns
Anyone for a new Double Dragon game? It’s been announced in the latest edition of Famitsu this week that Double Dragon Revive is officially in the works, and it’s scheduled to hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in 2025.
Details are thin on the ground right now, but you can see an early glimpse of the game in the screenshot below:
As mentioned by Gematsu, Double Dragon Revive will apparently “reproduce the thrill of old school side-scrolling action games” while also integrating updated controls and difficulty settings. The game is being developed by Arc System Works, which previously brought Double Dragon IV to Xbox One back in April of 2020. The studio has also recently delivered the likes of Guilty Gear Strive, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition and Dragon Ball Fighterz on Xbox.
Stay tuned for more details on this one – hopefully we’ll get more information before the end of the year.
