Dual Play Baccarat Arrives in NJ with BetMGM And Borgata

Listen to this article:
There is good news for online baccarat players in New Jersey. BetMGM and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa have expanded their live dealer offerings with the launch of Dual Play Baccarat, a new hybrid gaming experience that allows online and in-person players to participate in the same game.
Dual Play Baccarat has been developed by Evolution Gaming and it brings baccarat tables from Borgata’s casino floor to online players through multiple camera angles, which provides an immersive, real-time experience.
Speaking about the new game, Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s Vice President of Gaming and Product Content, said:
“Dual Play Baccarat is one of the best ways to bring the excitement of live table games to our online casino players. Similar to the familiar slot titles like Buffalo and Wheel of Fortune at BetMGM, we look for ways to build connections to on-property play and games that resonate with players.”
As with other online baccarat games powered by Evolution, Dual Play Baccarat allows players to place the Pairs Side Bets, the Player Pair and the Banker Pair. These are bets on either the player’s or banker’s first two cards being a pair and they pay out at 11:1. Operators can also choose to offer side bets such as Player Bonus, Banker Bonus, Either Pair and Perfect Pairs, which can have payouts as large as 200:1. The game also offers a choice of roadmaps such as the Bead Road, Big Road, Big Eye Road, Small Road, and Cockroach Road.
Seeking to Replicate Success of Dual Play Roulette
The launch of the new baccarat game comes after the success of Dual Play Roulette, which BetMGM and Evolution introduced at Borgata in August 2023. That roulette game quickly became one of the casino’s most popular live dealer options and served as proof that there is a large demand for hybrid gaming experiences. Now, with Dual Play Baccarat, an unlimited number of online players can join in together with those physically seated at the Borgata’s baccarat table.
James Bruno, Borgata’s Vice President of Casino Operations, said that the new game will help further Borgata’s reputation as a casino that continually works to evolve and bring players new experiences:
“Borgata has long been a leader in gaming innovation, and the launch of Dual Play Baccarat further elevates that reputation. This dynamic addition bridges the energy of our casino floor with the convenience of online play, offering players an immersive and seamless way to engage with one of their favorite games.”
The Growth of Hybrid Gaming
Evolution Gaming, which is widely considered one of the leading providers of live dealer casino games, has continued to expand its Dual Play product line. The company has been one of the driving forces behind the move to integrate online and land-based gaming, providing players with an enjoyable experience on as many platforms as possible.
Speaking about the new release, Jacob Claesson, Evolution North America’s CEO, said:
“Evolution Dual Play Baccarat is an innovative product that brings together land-based players and an unlimited number of online players at the same casino table. This game is the first of its kind in the United States, and we’re very excited for BetMGM to be leading the way with this type of omnichannel initiative. Dual Play Baccarat follows the launch of Dual Play Roulette that opened in 2023 at Borgata, which quickly became a very popular way to play roulette. We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with BetMGM and fully committed to supporting them as they continue to innovate and build truly engaging player experiences.”
Hybrid gaming looks set to continue to grow in popularity in New Jersey and it is helping to ensure that online casino revenues continue to grow. With Dual Play Baccarat, BetMGM and Borgata are boosting their omnichannel offerings and giving players the flexibility to experience live dealer games in new ways.
