Kathie Lee Gifford Says Hoda Kotb Deserves an Emmy
Kathie Lee Gifford has a new grandchild.
The TV personality’s daughter Cassidy Gifford, 31, has officially welcomed her second child with husband Ben Wierda. The Baxters actress shared the happy news of their daughter Rosie‘s birth a few days after her arrival on June 3.
“Rosie Mae Wierda!” Cassidy wrote on Instagram June 6 alongside a black and white maternity photo and a sweet snap of her holding Rosie’s hand. “Born at 9:59am on 6/03/2025. You are a million prayers answered, Rosie girl.”
She continued, “We love you so much. 1 Samuel 1:27.”
The couple—who tied the knot in 2020—welcomed their first son Finn, 23 months, in June 2023. At the time, Cassidy shared a similar picture with Finn’s feet in her hand, and wrote, “Our whole entire world. Finn Thomas Wierda 6.24.2023. We are so madly in love with you, buddy. Thank you, Lord for this most precious gift.”
However, Cassidy’s kids aren’t Kathie Lee’s only grandchildren. Her son Cody Gifford and his wife Erika share kids Frankie, 3, and Ford, 17 months, and have a third on the way.
For Kathie, her role as grandma is perhaps her most important yet.
The former Today host has gushed over her love of her grandkids, explaining how “every moment is a gift” made even more special knowing that they are a piece of her late husband Frank Gifford, who passed in 2015.
“I knew I was going to love Frank instantly because I love babies,” she told Today in 2022 after the birth of her first grandchild. “But this is my son’s child—my husband’s son’s son. It’s all such a beautiful tapestry of life and creation.”
And while Rosie marks Kathie’s first granddaughter, when the Live with Regis and Kathie Lee host was first anticipating becoming a grandma, she shared she’d be happy no matter the gender of her grandkids, sharing on X (formerly Twitter) in December 2021, “I am over a blue or pink moon!!! I don’t care which.”
