Oop! Kanye West Accuses Adidas Of Selling “Fake” Yeezys While Suing Him
One thing about Ye is that he’s going to speak out any time he feels wronged! Kanye recently went IN on Adidas, alleging they’re selling “fake” Yeezys while taking advantage of him.
Kanye Blasts Adidas Over New Yeezy Drop
West explained his POV of the situation via his official Instagram on Monday (Feb. 26). He shared two posts — one featuring a video of himself and the other featuring a picture of a grey Yeezy sneaker.
In the post with the sneaker flick, Kanye explained that Adidas is selling a colorway of Yeezys that he never approved. The shoe is officially named the 350 V2 Steel Grey.
“Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys. I never made these colorways. I’m not getting paid off of them, and Adidas is suing me. All these celebrities and the public will stand against a T-shirt or the color of my hat, but when yall see me have my children hidden from me or see an actual Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life don’t nobody say nothing or do nothing,” Kanye wrote in the post’s caption.
Ye then listed ways he felt he might be punished for speaking out. He seemingly referenced a recent incident when his new album ‘Vultures 1’ was temporarily removed from Apple Music earlier this month. That came just days after he reportedly claimed he couldn’t be “canceled.” Despite the streaming interruption, ‘Vultures 1’ debuted at No.1 on last week’s Billboard 200, while the album’s single ‘Carnival’ debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100 singles chart, per Forbes.
“As far as the system goes, What yall gone do now Take my album down again? Freeze my accounts again? Threaten people to not work with me again? All the new non approved 350’s are cooorny.”

Ye Says Adidas Is Still Using His Design While Suing Him
In the second post, Kanye explained that selling fake Yeezys is not the only thing Adidas is doing to him.
“They’re suing me for $250 million dollars and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it. They’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist, one of y’all favorite artists, right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

As previously reported, the Adidas-Kanye-Yeezys business relationship began falling apart in 2022 after Ye received backlash for anti-Semitic comments and a ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirt.
This isn’t the first time he’s accused the company of “raping” his designs. He did the same in October of that year when the company placed their Yeezy partnership under review.

After they finally cut ties that same month, Ye lost his billionaire status. The athletic wear company filed a lawsuit against Ye in May the following year but later dropped it. It appears, though, they’re still in a legal battle over the failed partnership and design rights.
Adidas has not responded to Ye’s latest blast.
