- Get an increased chance to meet the new shiny versions of Scatterbug, Pewpa and Vivillon
While it may still be chilly in most parts of the world as we head into February, Spring is very much on the horizon. But if you need something to keep you going before then, and coax you out into the chilly outdoors, maybe Pokemon Go’s new event, Scattered to the Wind will help.
So, what’s this event got to offer? Well, how about 2x XP for spinning a Pokestop and 5x XP for your first spin of the day? You can open up to 40 Gifts per day as well (or 60 with the Eggs-pedition Access: February ticket). And on top of that, there’s an increased chance to encounter the Shiny version of Pidgey.
But that’s not all! How about the fact that by pinning postcards given by players from around the world you’ll have an enhanced chance to meet the new Shiny versions of Scatterbug, Pewpa and Vivillon? That’s on top of new Field Research Task rewards, Paid Timed Research and more!
Out of your shell
Pokemon Go has often focused on getting people out and about with enticing rewards, and for good reason considering that the IRL focus is sort of the point of AR as a concept anyway. Of course, new Pokemon are always welcome, but it is a bit strange to have the focus of their postcard collecting be on international players, many of whom you’ll likely not know beyond just said cards.
But in any case, keep your eye out for this latest event, as it’s only going to be in place for a brief period between February 18th to the 20th! You’ll want to get in quick and strike while the er, Pokemon is fresh.
