I. Will Sakamoto Days Be On Break Next Week?
No, Sakamoto Days is not on a break. Episode 7 will air on the above-mentioned date as per schedule without any delay.
2. Sakamoto Days Episode 6 Recap
Episode 6 of Sakamot Days started out with the introduction of a new hitman named Mashimo Heisuke, who had a single picture of the slim version of Sakamoto. He hoped to get the bounty on him to graduate from his broke life. His venture to find Sakamoto led him to the grocery store, where he saw Sakamoto but didn’t recognize him. After being told that no Sakamoto Taro lived there, the crestfallen Heisuke (who completely believed that Sakamoto wasn’t Sakamoto) then tried to get some food from the store using his puppy-dog eyes.
Sakamoto and co. were planning on joining a local paintball tournament to get funds for rennovating the shop. The following day, when they went to the shopping district where the tournament was to take place, they met Heisuke again, who was detained from joining them because he didn’t have any teammates. On seeing Sakamoto, he rushed to them and begged them to let them join their team, which they permitted after much persuasion. While Sakamoto completely considered him to be a liability during the tournament, Heisuke proved to be really skillful with the gun and took down many opponents in one fell swoop.
Things were going really well until Lu got drunk and revealed the fact that Sakamoto was the Sakamoto Taro that Heisuke was targeting the whole time. At that point, Heisuke somehow managed to develop a false sense of companionship with the lot, felt really betrayed by them, and immediately turned against them. His parrot Piisuke brought his rifle, with which he started hunting them.
Heisuke proved to be a huge threat to them amidst the paintball battle, as he completely overwhelmed them with a barrage of really accurately shot bullets. Amidst this fight, Heisuke went into his backstory, where he explained that he was really bad at everything he did except shooting. However, the company he worked for didn’t acknowledge his skill and fired him, which explained why he was homeless. He hoped to get the bounty on Sakamoto and prove his worth to the world.
On hearing this, Shin told him that he had no reason to prove his worth to anyone other than himself and then screamed into the wireless earpiece, which made him suddenly stagger. Shin detected his location using this diversion, after which Sakamoto threw a pebble at him, which shattered Heisuke’s rifle and ended their battle. The paintball match was won by Sakamoto’s team, but Heisuke was still depressed as he thought his one good trait didn’t get him to victory. Sakamoto then told him that he was the best sniper that he had ever fought against, which suddenly boosted his morale.
3. What To Expect In Episode 7 of Sakamoto Days?
The latest episode of Sakamoto Days ended with Heisuke’s defeat, but with that, we also noticed the potential for Sakamoto to adopt him, the same way he did for Lu and Shin. This is mostly because it was very clear that Heisuke was a pretty decent person and was very childish and pure, much like Shin. With this, we can expect Heisuke to start working in Sakamoto’s shop.
Besides this, we can also expect Sakamoto to use the prize money to get working on the shop’s renovation. It is also worth remembering that the previous episode did reveal the fact that information on assassination groups was pretty expensive, so Sakamoto may have needed the prize money to conduct his investigation to find the person who placed the bounty on his head.
