Travis Kelce ‘Can’t Be a Normal Person’ With Taylor Swift-Level Fame, Says Jason Kelce

Jason Kelce is grateful he’s not as famous as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

A week after Kylie Kelce went viral for shutting down an aggressive fan in public, Jason revealed how life in the spotlight is effecting their entire family’s life—for better and worse. During a recent appearance on the Whiskey Ginger podcast, the former Eagles player discussed how his camera-shy wife has adjusted to fame since his Amazon documentary, Kelce, was released last year. Though he says Kylie “enjoys” how her platform benefits her charitable pursuits, “it gets to be too much at times.”

“It’s been crazy,” Jason said of the public attention, which grew exponentially since his brother Travis Kelce hard-launched his relationship with Taylor Swift in September 2023. “Travis and Taylor have taken it to a whole ‘nother level.”

He continued, “Kylie and I think we have it bad, then we go hang out with one of them…This is a whole ‘nother situation here. Like, you can’t be a normal person at that point.”

While Jason and Kylie Kelce have been two of the couple’s biggest supporters, this isn’t the first time Jason has shared the “drawbacks” of Travis’ newfound popularity. In February, he told Shaq that his brother had to move out of his house for “safety reasons,” though his new address was discovered quickly. “The first day he moved into the new house…a gated community, somebody knocks on the back door,” he said on The Big Podcast.

Still, when Jason Kelce says his brother “can’t be a normal person,” he doesn’t mean the Chiefs player’s personality has changed. In fact, Jason says Travis is still the same unbothered king he’s always been. “I think Trav is a very comfortable person in almost any scenario, like, he’s such a unique individual. I’ve never seen him uncomfortable anywhere,” he told Whiskey Ginger host Andrew Santino. “I haven’t seen him change one bit.”

He continued, “I think that he stayed true to himself. Yeah, he’s still humble. He treats everyone with the utmost respect. Like they’re equals, regardless of who they are.”
