What if radio could answer your questions? In celebration of National Radio Day (August 20), will.i.am is answering that question with the launch of RAiDiO.FYI.
RAiDiO.FYI is a first-of-its-kind, AI-infused interactive, conversational media platform that transforms how we interact with radio as we know it. It brings a new dimension to the platform, connecting consumers deeper with the music they’re hearing, with the talk radio program they enjoy, and the cultural content they love.
The FYI.AI app is available for iOS and Android, giving access to the RAiDiO.FYI experience. The debut marks a new innovation as a landmark moment in the 110 year history of radio, converging information and music delivery with powerful AI that can answer questions, deliver facts, and guide the conversation. RAiDiO.FYI is the brain child of superstar and tech innovator will.i.am, who envisions a future where radio can empower listeners with the ability to personalize and immerse themselves in content while having a two-way real-time conversation on their favorite topics.
Powered by FYI, RAiDiO.FYI is evolving broadcasting into hyper-casting, bringing information to life, inviting people to chat with their radio stations, and asking about the music or stories behind the songs. Listeners can instantly become active participants in the conversation, choosing topics, asking questions, and talking with these AI personas.
Having built his music career with global music super group Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am is endeared to radio; he understands first-hand how intergral it is in breaking and making the world’s most beloved music acts. Because audiences now have multiple pathways to get their music, news, and information via radio, streaming services or podcasts, RAiDiO.FYI was introduced at the right time to harness the power of AI to allow listeners to customize their content to their liking.
Digital Music News spoke to will.i.am about the RAiDiO.FYI experience when he launched his partnership with SiriusXM. Now the experience is free to try in the FYI app for anyone who has an iOS or Android device.
