Ye Continues Kendrick Lamar Hate By Trashing Old Performance

Ye may move on from projects fast in recent years, but he does not let hate go. The 47-year-old artist continued his one-sided feud with Kendrick Lamar by trashing one of his old performances.
In 2022, K. Dot performed while sitting front row at a Louis Vuitton fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. He delivered songs from his 2022 album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, specifically “Savior,” “Rich Spirit, “N95,” and “Count Me Out.”
An Instagram account reposted the performance and highlighted how Lamar rapped the songs without any backtrack. The artist formerly known as Kanye West, however, wasn’t impressed. “I hated this so much,” he wrote. His hate may also be tied to the fact that the show was a tribute to the late Virgil Abloh, with whom he worked closely but has also admitted he was jealous of.
This is the latest insult Ye has hurled Kendrick Lamar’s way. A few weeks ago, Playboi Carti released his new album Music, and the Compton rapper had three features on the LP: “Good Credit,” “Mojo Jojo,” and “Backd00r” alongside Jhene Aiko.
“I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC,” the Chicago producer wrote on X. “HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.” The Vultures artist also took shots at the Pulitzer Prize winner’s smash hit diss song “Not Like Us,” writing “I HAAAAAATED NOT LIKE US.”
Ye’s hate train first began on Super Bowl LIX weekend, coincidentally the same weekend that Lamar was slated to perform during the Apple Music halftime show. Charlamagne Tha God suggested that the controversial rapper was jealous of Kendrick’s success and the fact that he was able to take down Drake while Ye was unsuccessful at doing so. West and Lamar previously collaborated on “No More Parties In LA,” a record from the former’s 2016 album The Life Of Pablo. Per his latest comments, it seems as though that will remain the only time they link up on wax.
