Thunderobot is now accepting pre-orders for its Thor Bagel Civi projector in China. The budget model is billed as suitable for gaming, with an HDMI 1.4 port to connect a game console. Other features of the new product include Android 9.0, wireless screen-casting and a pair of integrated speakers.

The Thunderobot Thor Bagel Civi projector is now available to pre-order in China. The budget model has a native 720p resolution and is advertised as supporting 4K. The projector is described as suitable for gaming throughout the product listing despite its relatively basic feature set.

The Thor Bagel Civi has an LCD light source that delivers up to 600 ANSI lumens brightness and is expected to last up to 20,000 hours. With a 1.15:1 throw ratio, Thunderobot recommends a maximum image size of 100-in (~254 cm). You can perfect the image with tools such as automatic keystone correction, autofocus and digital zoom. The projector runs on a version of Android 9.0, Thunder OS, and features two built-in 3W speakers. You can wirelessly screencast to the device, with connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Alternatively, you can physically connect gadgets via ports like USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm audio jack.

For a processor, the device uses the HiSilicon Hi3751V352 with 1+8GB memory and a proprietary Frost Cooling system. The new projector is relatively light at 1.5 kg (~3.3 lbs) and compact at 154 x 126 x 211 mm (~6.1 x 5.0 x 8.3-in). You can choose from three colors: pink, white/cream and mint green. The Thunderobot Thor Bagel Civi projector can be pre-ordered in China for 799 yuan (~$110). It is unclear whether or when the device could go on sale in other regions like North America or the EU.
