The initial scan came after Rafa landed in Melbourne, in hopes of hearing good news. However, he had to fly back to Madrid to get a thorough examination. But the King of Clay was not dealt with bad news once again. After proper examination, his injury was not revealed to be threatening, although he still cannot compete in Australia.

As per Diaro De Mallorca, he is dealing with a repairable muscle injury. Therefore, he requires one week of rest before he can start training again. Additionally, there is only one clear date on his calendar for now. He is set to play an exhibition match with Carlos Alcaraz in Las Vegas on March 3, which will be streamed by Netflix.
