The 10-Minute On-The-Go Cardio Routine for Dads

Gregory’s routine is intentionally streamlined so you can knock it out without having to constantly stare at a screen:

  • 1 minute of jumping rope
  • 1 minute of alternating lunges or walking lunges

Repeat for 10 minutes.

Benefits of Jumping Rope

If you’ve been searching for cardio that isn’t running but offers the same results, jumping rope is your answer. According to one study, participants who spent 10 minutes daily jumping rope boosted their cardiovascular health as much as participants who clocked 30 minutes daily jogging. Plus, jump ropes are affordable, compact, and simple to use.

Benefits of Lunges

Whether you choose stationary lunges or walking lunges, you’ll get plenty of perks. For one, lunges challenge your balance and coordination, keeping you agile while playing with your kids. They’ll also help you build strong quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves. Perform them consecutively for a decent length of time, like Gregory prescribes, and you’ll amp up your heart rate and calorie burn.
