Congratulations are in order for Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi, as she graduated from Harvard University. The class of 22 alum received her degree in Social and African American Studies, concentrating on “Black political thought under a neocolonial landscape,” she told Vogue. 

Actress and LGBTQ activist Laverne Cox makes history by influencing the first transgender Barbie doll. The figurine features a red tulle gown, high heels, a sparkling silver bodysuit, and silver earrings. The doll was released just in time for the celebration of the actress’ 50th birthday.

Kingston Jamaica artist Jada Kingdom released her new track “Last Night”. The upbeat, catchy song has a strong message behind it and fans are calling Jada an “inspiring artist” for using her platform to shine a light on sexual assault. 

Rico Nasty is set to hit the road with Kehlani on the Blue Water Road Trip. The two will kick off their tour this summer in Raleigh North Carolina, as they travel four months through North America and wrap up the tour in the Winter in Manchester, UK. 

British rapper M.I.A returns to the music scene with a new track titled “The One.”  The “Paper Planes” artist took three years off from music, and fans are excited for her return. The trailblazer will be kicking off a tour this summer in the UK. 

Asian Doll releases a new track with New Jersey rapper, Bandmanrill titled “Get Jumped.” Though not a diss track, Asian is still proving why she considers herself the queen of drill.
