Ylonen and Pezzetta spent some time on the ice with Primeau and Allen before practice began. They were joined by goaltending coach Eric Raymond.
Matheson was wearing a regular practice jersey, suggesting that he has been cleared for contact after being sidelined with a lower-body injury. The veteran defenseman hasn’t played since Dec. 17 against the Lightning.
The Canadiens will face the Islanders on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. ET.
