The 2024 Super Bowl is nearly here. With kickoff less than a month away, we finally have the performance lineup for the night. Usher will grace the stage field at halftime, but he’s not the only celebrity we’ll see. Reba McEntire, Post Malone, and Andra Day were all also revealed as participants this week.

The Super Bowl is, of course, for football, but it doubles as a variety show. That’s why I keep tuning in. What’s better than sports with a side of musical fanfare? This year, the game takes place on February 11th, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. We don’t know yet which teams will play, but we know seriously good music is on the way. Below, we’ve broken down the entertainment schedule for the evening.

Reba McEntire Will Sing The National Anthem

Country star Reba McEntire will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” this year. This is, in a way, a full-circle moment for the 68-year-old performer. Nearly 50 years ago, she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City when she was new to the music scene. The singer posted a picture of her performing at the Rodeo alongside a Super Bowl poster on X (formerly known as Twitter) to celebrate the achievement. In a different post, she expressed her gratitude for the performance opportunity. “I’m honored to be part of something as big and historic as the Super Bowl coming to Las Vegas for the first time,” wrote McEntire.

Post Malone Will Sing “America the Beautiful”

Esquire’s 90th-anniversary cover star, Post Malone, was tapped to sing “America the Beautiful.” The chart-topping artist is best known for the genre-bending songs “Sunflower (feat. Swae Lee),” “Psycho” (feat. Ty. Dolla $ign), and “Better Now.” If we’re lucky, Malone will give the classic patriotic track a new-age spin.

Andra Day Will Sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”

Singer-songwriter Andra Day was tapped to perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Yesterday, she announced the gig on Instagram, writing, “Peace & Blessings!!! Performing the Anthem at the Super Bowl yall! Grateful! Thank you, God.”

Adam Blackstone Will Produce “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing”

Adam Blackstone—who’s worked with Nicki Minaj and Justin Timberlake—was tapped to produce “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” performances. Does this mean we’ll hear modern renditions of those anthems? Possibly! We’ll just have to wait and see.
