All Stormgate Factions

The developers have stated that in Stormgate players will be able to choose between three different factions, each with its own characteristics. The factions in question are the following:

• The Human Vanguard
• The Infernal Host
• The Celestial Armada

The Human Vanguard

This faction was created to try to give one last hope to an Earth that was now on the verge of extinction. For this reason, in this faction, you can count veterans from every sector (strategic, scientific, military, etc.) who have joined forces to try to fight the invaders.

Among the main characteristics of this faction, there is certainly the ability to be composed of versatile warriors who are able to adapt to different situations. Furthermore, since they are humans, we must not forget that they have been able to master the ability of automation and therefore are in possession of very thick automatic weapons and defenses. Finally, the fact that it is composed of veterans from different sectors is certainly an added value.

Units

The Human Vanguard faction is composed of several units, each specialized in something different:

• B.O.B.: These are small robots that are essential for the success of your operations. They are able to obtain resources, build buildings and structures, repair other mechanical units, etc.
• S.C.O.U.T.: These are mechanical dogs that have the task of being sent ahead to sniff out enemies that are nearby. Furthermore, given their mechanical conformation, they are also very useful anti-ground harassers.
• EXO: The soldiers that are present in this unit are skilled and versatile riflemen capable of neutralizing ground and air threats.
• VULCAN: This is the tank of the units. This mech is able to spread fear and destruction wherever it is and is for this reason a valid addition to the faction.

The Infernal Host

These are basically the invaders that the members of the Human Vanguard are trying to suppress. Those who belong to this faction are born warriors, whose task is to invade other worlds and shape them according to their image. Despite their brutality, the Infernal Hosts have a very strict code of conduct that must be respected.

Among their characteristics is that of performing magical rituals to gain the upper hand against their opponents, or to spread the Shroud even further, a sort of cloud capable of giving them great advantages on the battlefield. Furthermore, as if that were not enough, since they make the use of black magic their strong point, they are also able to summon allies when they need it.

Units

The Infernal Host faction is made up of several units, each specialized in something different:

• IMP: These are servants that occupy the lowest rung of the hierarchy. Their goal is to sacrifice themselves in order to summon infernal structures on the battlefield.
• BRUTE: As the name suggests, these are enemies of a higher level and stronger, but they have the ability to split in half to give rise to another type of enemy. This mechanic is the basis of the faction’s code of conduct, which states that you must win at all costs.
• GAUNT: These are trolls with extreme skill in wielding axes. They also have the ability to sacrifice part of their health to infect enemies with their attacks.
• FLAYED DRAGON: These enemies are the most difficult to face. Wherever they pass, they leave fear and destruction.

The Celestial Armada

This faction is a peaceful faction composed of an ancient and very technologically advanced civilization, whose purpose is to protect the various worlds from external threats. Consequently, their goal is to defeat the threat of the Infernal Host once and for all.

Since it is a very technologically advanced faction, their race is created with a biosynthesis process in which the biological form is merged with the cosmic one thanks to nanotechnology, in such a way as to migrate their knowledge to subsequent generations. However, despite being a nation with good intentions, this does not mean that they do not have a respectable arsenal at their disposal.

In terms of their characteristics, it must be said that they are different from those we are used to seeing. The main thing to know is that with this faction you will have the possibility of using ships that can be placed on the battlefield. Furthermore, it is very important to keep an eye on the power level, as an insufficient level limits their abilities.

Units

The Celestial Armada faction is made up of several units, each specializing in something different:

• ARCSHIP: This is a unit that allows players to create structures on the battlefield or can be used for defense or offense.
• KRI: These are short-range warriors that are able to kill enemies very easily thanks to their blades. They can also be upgraded with the ability to explode upon taking fatal damage, in order to deal damage to nearby enemies.
• SABER: This faction also has long-range weapons that can be used to defeat enemies, which is exactly what this unit is designed for.
• ANIMACER: This unit is made up of warriors that are able to drain the health and energy of their opponents.
