The 21-year-old became the all-time career rushing leader in Boise State history during the contest, breaking a record that had stood since 1980 (h/t Shaun Goodwin of the Idaho Statesman).
With finalists for the Heisman Trophy set to be announced on Monday, fans continued to call for Jeanty as the eventual winner of the award over Colorado Buffaloes two-way standout Travis Hunter.

Ashton Jeanty should win the Heisman.
Thank you for reading my one college football tweet for the year.

If you think Travis Hunter should win the Heisman over Ashton Jeanty, you don’t know ball…

If you’re a Heisman voter and you choose Travis Hunter over Ashtyn Jeanty, you don’t deserve your vote.

There’s two type of people in the Heisman debate. Those who think Ashton Jeanty should be Heisman, and those that are wrong.

Not sure how Ashton Jeanty isn’t the runaway Heisman winner.
Dominating every week including against #1 Oregon despite the loss.
Carrying his team into the playoffs.
What else does he need to do?

Another Heisman moment for Ashton freaking Jeanty!
Holy smokes!

If Ashton Jeanty leads #BoiseState to a 12-1 record, a Mountain West Championship, a first-round by in the College Football Playoff, and eventually goes on to break Barry Sanders’ single-season rushing record and doesn’t win the Heisman, we seriously to reconsider the voting…
With the victory, Boise State earned its second consecutive Mountain West title. Jeanty and the Broncos will also be heading to the College Football Playoff.
