Brandon Graham officially announces his retirement

It’s a day we all knew was coming sooner rather than later, and after being able to return from a triceps injury just in time for Super Bowl LIX, Eagles DE Brandon Graham has officially announced his NFL retirement after 15 seasons.
The Eagles’ 2010 first-round pick made his announcement on Tuesday during a press conference at the NovaCare Complex.
Graham, who leads the Eagles in all-, has given everything to this team and the city, and deserves to retire the legend that he is. From the infamous strip sack against Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52, to being the league’s most notorious shit-talker, BG has oozed energy since the day he came to Philly. He had to overcome some challenges his first few seasons, but became the captain of the defense and was a huge reason for their success over the past decade.
Graham will undoubtedly end up in the Eagles Hall of Fame, and will wrap up his 15-year career with 487 total tackles, 76.5 regular season sacks, plus 5.5 postseason sacks, and nine all-time forced fumbles.
After missing nearly half of the 2024 NFL season, Graham’s future seemed uncertain — no one wanted his farewell tour to come to an end due to injury —, but thankfully he was able to come back and contribute to the team’s Super Bowl win, giving him the most fairytale ending he deserves.
Cheers to BG!
(It’s probably not goodbye since he lives in the Philly area and he’s always talked about sticking around even after he hangs up his cleats, so we’ll probably see him around in some capacity soon.)
