Coastal Carolina QB dismissed from the team following arrest for possession of drugs & gun
Coastal Carolina freshman gunslinger DJ Moore is no longer on the team after last month’s arrest for possessing a firearm and marijuana.
According to Tim Beck, Moore is no longer on the team. He mentioned this yesterday in his press conference.
Beck did not comment on whether or not it was because of the arrest in October, but it had to play a factor.
The freshman quarterback was arrested two days before Coastal’s game on Oct. 19, 2024.
According to online bookings, at 4:07 p.m. Oct. 17, 2024, Coastal Carolina Police arrested Moore for simple possession of marijuana and carrying or displaying firearms in public buildings. Moore was released Oct. 18, 2024, on a $2,115 bond.
