Country Singer and Former Football Player Gavin Adcock Arrested in Tennessee

Rising country music artist and former Georgia Southern University football player Gavin Adcock was arrested in Tennessee on Wednesday, May 21, facing charges related to reckless driving and an open container violation.
The 26-year-old, originally from Oconee County, Georgia, was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Oconee, Tennessee. Adcock, best known for country hits like “Deep End,” “Ain’t No Cure,” and “A Cigarette,” was reportedly released after posting a $1,000 bond following approximately five hours in jail.
A mugshot of Adcock, appearing to smile at the camera, has been circulating online.

This is not the first time Adcock has made headlines off the stage. In September 2021, he was suspended and removed from the Georgia Southern football team after a video went viral showing him standing atop a moving school bus and drinking a beer prior to a game. Additionally, in June 2023, he was reportedly arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to the New York Post.
Despite the controversies, Adcock has continued to grow his music career, gaining a loyal fan base drawn to his gritty lyrics and Southern style.
