Cowboys injuries: Lamb, Martin, Smith, Ferguson DNP

If you favor the Dallas Cowboys tanking for a better draft pick over the team playing for an unprecedented playoff push without several starters, including their starting quarterback, injuries might decide the issue. Dallas lost another player for the year after Markquese Bell suffered a season-ending shoulder injury against the Houston Texans. As the Cowboys have their second practice of the week, the injury report is as long as it’s been all season. Here’s what we know after Thursday.

DaRon Bland (foot) practiced in a full capacity for the second consecutive and is trending positively towards making his season debut. After taking a big hit on Monday, Tyler Guyton (shoulder) was also a full participant for the second day in a row.

There’s interesting news with CeeDee Lamb however. Lamb (back/foot) was downgraded to DNP Thursday, while Brandin Cooks (knee) and rookie Marshawn Kneeland (knee) maintained their limited status. Kneeland and Cooks hope to return off injured reserve against the Washington Commanders. Jourdan Lewis (neck) was also limited. Eric Kendricks (shoulder) was upgraded to a full participant.

Offensive linemen Zack Martin (ankle/shoulder) and Tyler Smith (ankle/knee) were not practicing. Both sat out yesterday, so their absence again today should raise some concern. Jake Ferguson also didn’t practice Thursday as he manages concussion symptoms.

For the Commanders, Zach Ertz (NIR-Rest) returned to practice after getting a day off Wednesday. Dorance Armstrong (knee) was a full participant today and Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) logged his second consecutive DNP of the week.
