Eagles-Commanders Final Injury Report: A.J. Brown is playing

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 16 road game against the Washington Commanders.

A.J. Brown and Landon Dickerson will play despite being limited in practice the last two days. They do not have a game status.

Brown did not practice on Wednesday with a “rest” designation. He was then limited on Thursday and Friday with a “knee/rest” designation. Brown seems to be less than 100% but he’s going to play.

Dickerson was also listed as limited due to a “knee/rest” designation on Thursday and Friday.

The Eagles ruled two players OUT: Britain Covey and Bryce Huff.

Covey was a full participant in practice all week but he’s going to miss a third straight game due to a neck injury. Cooper DeJean will continue to return punts.

The Eagles opened Huff’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve earlier this week. Huff, who is still wearing a cast, was limited in practice all week. He’s not yet ready to play.

Eagles edge rusher Bryce Huff said he’s “day-by-day” in terms of his possible return. No specific date. But he’s regained full function of his wrist from surgery on the torn ligament. He’ll wear a brace the rest of the year, but only as a support precaution.

The Eagles ruled one player QUESTIONABLE: Sydney Brown.

Brown suffered a concussion on the opening kickoff in Week 15. He was listed under did not practice on Wednesday before being upgraded to limited on Thursday and then upgraded again to full go on Friday. Brown told reporters he cleared the concussion protocol and will play on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Mekhi Becton, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, and Cam Jurgens are all set to play despite being listed on the injury report this week.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

OUT

WR Britain Covey (neck)
DE Bryce Huff (wrist)

QUESTIONABLE

S Sydney Brown (concussion)

RESERVE/INJURED

DB James Bradberry IV
OT Le’Raven Clark
TE Dallas Goedert
DE Brandon Graham
DE Bryce Huff (practice window open)

The Eagles opened Huff’s 21-day practice window to return from IR on December 18. Goedert is eligible to return after Week 17. Young and Bradberry are eligible to be activated if/when the Eagles desire to activate them, which isn’t looking likely. Graham is seemingly out for the season due to a triceps injury, though he didn’t totally rule out a chance of him playing in the Super Bowl. BVS is out for the season due to a knee injury. Clark is out for the season since he was placed on IR back in May.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

The Commanders ruled one player OUT: starting defensive tackle Jonathan Allen.

The Commanders opened Allen’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve earlier this week but he’s not yet ready to play. The Eagles’ offensive line will dodge him for a second time this season.

The Commanders ruled two players QUESTIONABLE: starting tight end Zach Ertz and starting safety Jeremy Chinn.

Ertz suffered a concussion in Week 15. He missed Wednesday’s practice before being upgraded to limited on Thursday. Ertz was limited again on Friday and the Commanders also added “shoulder” to his status, so, it seems like he got banged up in practice. We’ll see if he’s able to play.

Chinn suffered a concussion in Week 15. He was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being upgraded to full go on Friday. It seems like Chinn will be able to play.
