The early signing period for the 2025 college football recruiting class is approaching, meaning that several players will be deciding to enroll at the school of their choice in the near future.
While many recruits in the 2025 class have already made their selections, there are still others who are uncommitted and could make their pick before the traditional national signing day on Feb. 5.
Players may also change their minds, which was the case with quarterback Bryce Underwood. Underwood, the No. 1 player in the 2025 class via 247Sports’ Composite rankings, was committed to LSU before flipping to Michigan on Nov. 21.

Justus Terry is the highest-ranked player that still hasn’t made his commitment decision. The 5-star defensive tackle has already visited Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia and Texas.
Many signs are pointing towards the Manchester, Georgia native joining the Bulldogs. Terry was an All-America second-team selection as a junior in 2023 and registered 78 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks and two forced fumbles (via 247Sports).
If he chooses to commit to Georgia, he’ll join a program that has recently produced standout NFL defensive linemen including Travon Walker of the Jacksonville Jaguars as well as Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackles Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter.
While Auburn is also a threat to sway Terry, 247Sports predicts that he’ll decide to join the Bulldogs.
Jahkeem Stewart, the No. 3 defensive lineman in the 2025 class, also hasn’t made his choice yet. Stewart was initially part of the 2026 recruiting class, but he reclassified on Oct. 5.
He’s already visited Oregon, LSU and USC. Stewart’s most recent trip was to the Trojans’ campus on Nov. 15.
247Sports’ Gabe Brooks highlighted Stewart’s potential NFL future in his scouting report of the defensive end.
“Still developing pass-rush repertoire but has shown encouraging technical awareness,” Brooks wrote. “Elite young defensive line prospect given outstanding physical tools and promising movement ability who could become a serious NFL Draft candidate down the road.”
While the New Orleans native may be swayed by the Tigers, On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong predicted the Trojans landing him.
Terry and Stewart aren’t guaranteed to make their final decisions during the early signing period and could take additional unofficial visits, but several prospects will be committing and putting pen to paper starting on Wednesday.
