Ed Ingram’s Time with the Vikings … Must Be Done?

offensive guard Ed Ingram. This is the final year of Ingram’s deal, but having previously been benched in consecutive seasons, it’s clear he’s not part of the blueprint going forward. Minnesota must figure out a fix on both interior offensive lines. Ingram isn’t going to develop into something he hasn’t been, and there’s no reason to carry his dollars as a backup.
When the Vikings went into last season, they decided to commit to Blake Brandel as their left guard option. It took time for Dalton Risner to return and then even longer before he was inserted into the starting lineup. At this point, none of that trio looks like they should be the answer for Minnesota.

<p>Ingram has been given ample opportunity to make things work. He was a second-round pick in 2022 and started all 17 games as a rookie. He <a href=)
hasn’t developed at any sort of promising pace, and if the Vikings are going to break in another new quarterback they must do so with the best possible situation for them to thrive in.
Depth on the line is a must for Minnesota. Not only do they need to turn the starting positions over, but they also have to make sure that talent is there to fill out the roster. Any number of players could take Ingram’s roster spot and immediately have a higher ceiling or likelihood to produce.

<p>Rather than running it back and continuing the same charade, there’s just no reason for Ingram to be on the roster this season.</p>
