Endzone 2 Review, Roadmap, Demo, Cheats, and More

Endzone 2 Roadmap is here, and we have all the details as the game moves through early access.

After the success of Endzone A World Apart, developer Gentlymad Studios have been hard at work on a sequel. Endzone 2 dropped in late August into Early Access, and as a result we now have an Endzone 2 Roadmap to look at. It’s not the most detailed look at the future, however, there are a few interesting things to prepare for.

Endzone 2 Roadmap

Below is a list of things that are coming to the game in the future, and what we already have added. As things release we’ll move them up the list to create a sort of “history” of the updates. The aim is to update this list as soon as possible, but you can always contact us if you see anything missing.

What is already live

The first track on the Roadmap was the standard “improvements and bugfixes”, we are in this stage currently. A number of fixes for bugs, quality of life, and stability are in the first set of updates. This is currently ongoing, and we suspect we get a couple more patches here first.

Electricity & Upcycling

The first major update to the game comes in the form of electricity and the ability to upcycle. Here is a brief TLDR of what that means:

  • Electricity: Generate and distribute electricity!
  • Upcycling: Turn specific ruins into buildings!
  • Content: New side missions and POIs

Electricity

Specifically on electricity, we know what the Relay Station and Wind Turbine will look like.

Endzone 2 roadmap

First up is the Relay Station. Acting as your power grid hub spot, the relay station is key at distributing power from source to home. You’ll need to connect any production or housing project to the relay station directly via pylons to actually gain power. The station itself will give you a breakdown of how much power is being sent out, and how many buildings are consuming said power.

Wind Turbine

Endzone 2 roadmap

The Wind Turbine is your primary source of farming power. Much like in the real world, it takes the wind, and turns it into power. The Wind Turbine will come in two forms, the one shown above which comes straight from the research menu — and the one below, which is part of the new Upcycling upgrade system.

Upcycling

A new system coming in the future, Upcycling will let you upgrade buildings. As you play Endzone 2, you’ll notice old ruins on the map. Right now, you can just recycle these for scrap. However, in the future, you’ll be able to Upcycle these into usable buildings.

Upcycled Wind Turbine

While you can build your own new Wind Turbine, why not just takeover ones from the past? Well, in the new update you can, so that’s great.

Upcycled Warehouse

Next up is the Warehouse. Used as a way to store all resource types, the Warehouse could be a game changer for your settlement as it grows. Rather than relying on smaller, resource-specific buildings dotted over the map.

What’s to come

???

Yep, sadly for now that’s all we get, but, we suspect we’ll get more updates in the near future anyway. We’ll update this post as and when we see new detail emerge.

Endzone 2 roadmap

Endzone 2 Updates

SO far we’ve had a fairly steady set of updates to the game.

  • 7 initial sets of Hotfixes just as the game dropped
  • First major updated dropped a month after the game was released, detailed at the start of this article
  • The first new content had a full reveal on October 18th 2024, so we are on track to get the update in late October. The developer did the same thing for the first regular update

Endzone 2 Demo

Endzone 2 has already had a demo during the Steam Next Fest in June 2024. Sadly, the game has not had a new demo for the October 2024 Next Fest, and no plans are in the works right now for the game to get a new demo.

Endzone 2 Review

Right now, the game is holding a 6/10 on Steam or a Mixed. The consensus seems to be that the game is very different from the first, which some old players wont like. The new multi-settlement system is a key factor in this for some.

We’ll share our thoughts at some point during Early Access or once the game has found its place in the wide world of Early Access.

Endzone 2 Cheats and Cheat Engine

Officially the game has no form of “cheats”, however, tools such as WeMod already offer a selection of ways you can change your game if that’s what you are into
