Esports and gaming creative agency Z1MT has announced that it will wind down all operations at the end of March.

The news was shared today across the company’s official social media platforms. However, a reason for the shutdown was not given.

As a creative studio, Z1MT specialised in consulting services, marketing and content strategy and production within esports and gaming. The company planned and executed campaigns for some of esports’ biggest stakeholders, such as the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), ESL and G2 Esports.

Z1MT was co-founded by esports veteran Karina Ziminaite in December 2022. Ziminaite had previously worked as the Head of Content for G2 Esports. With her team at G2, she received an award at the Esports Awards 2021 for best video production team and best creative piece.

Z1MT’s Goodbye

In today’s announcement, Z1MT reflected on its achievements across the last two years and thanked everyone involved with its projects: “While this marks the end of our journey as a company, it doesn’t take away from the incredible work we’ve done, the relationships we’ve built, and the impact we’ve made in the creative esports industry. […]

“Though Z1MT as a company is coming to an end, our passion for esports, storytelling, and creative innovation remains as strong as ever. […] To everyone who has been part of our journey – thank you. Lots of love from Z1MT.”

Ziminaite, who also held the role of Chief Operating Officer (CEO) at Z1MT commented on the company’s shutdown on her personal LinkedIn: “Bittersweet to close this chapter. I’m so proud of what we built at Z1MT. So many beautiful memories, learnings and unforgettable stories. […] More on what’s next soon, but for now: thank you to everyone who believed in Z1MT and me.”

She also thanked Charles Dalton, who co-piloted Z1MT as a Creative Producer and Cinematographer.
