Nicole Kidman Returns to Her Natural Curly Hair in Rare Family Photos
Nicole Kidman is going back to her roots.
In fact, the Oscar winner opted to rock her natural curly hair during a recent family vacation.
As seen in pictures posted on Instagram Aug. 19, Nicole—clad in a blue floral summer dress—let her strawberry blonde coils loose while embracing her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, on a balcony overlooking the ocean.
She also kept her tresses down in a group photo with younger sister Antonio Kidman and niece Lucia Hawley.
“Summer memories,” Nicole wrote in the caption. “Now back to school.”
Indeed, the 58-year-old and her husband Keith Urban make education a priority for their girls. As Sunday Rose put it, school is one of the “two big rules” of the household.
“The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16,” she told Nylon in an interview published Aug. 6, “and the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place because it keeps me in a good mindset.”
And that’s why Sunday Rose is still interested in pursuing further education despite launching her modeling career last year at Paris Fashion Week.

“Filmmaking has actually been my dream career since I was 5,” she explained, “so I hope I’m able to study that in college.”
Besides, the teen—who described her Nashville upbringing as “more of a small town” vibe—is eager to carve out her own path.

“When people my age meet me, they normally don’t know anything about my life,” she shared, “which is sort of wonderful because I am able to make a first impression based on who I am and not who my family is.”
Still, Sunday Rose will always consider Nicole to be one of her biggest inspirations—especially when it comes to style. As she put it, “I take everything from my mom’s closet. I sometimes joke with her that it’s my favorite store.”
