Inside Dana White’s negotiations for Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall UFC heavyweight title super-fight
Dana White has praised Tom Aspinall for his heart and enthusiasm, claiming the Brit is desperate to face Jon Jones.
Since arriving in the UFC, the gifted competitor has made an enormous splash, quickly proving himself to be one of the most terrifying fighters the sport has ever seen.
In fact, the Englishman’s performances have been so explosive that many fans have questioned whether they’ve scared the reigning undisputed heavyweight champion from getting in the cage with him.
Even Aspinall himself has accused Jones of ‘holding it up’.

Throughout his career, Dana White has negotiated with some of the biggest names in all of combat sports. And it hasn’t always been easy.
However, he claims that working with Tom Aspinall to try and make the Jon Jones fight has been smooth sailing, with the UFC interim heavyweight champion happy to do whatever it takes to make the match-up come to fruition.
In an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he explained: “I love that in a young aggressive, talented heavyweight, that he actually wants to fight all the best.
“The problem in this business is you have guys who say a lot of things publicly but behind the curtains, don’t mean it, you know, don’t really want these fights. Tom Aspinall is not that guy. Tom Aspinall wants to fight all the best in the world, and I love that.”
Having interviewed the powerhouse himself, Morgan curiously asked about just how good Aspinall is, to which the entrepreneur replied: “Very good. We’re gonna find out, though. With the Jon Jones fight, a fight like that for a young, talented heavyweight, if he can win, if he can beat Jon Jones, it’s life-changing.”

Dana White ready to take drastic action if Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight talks continue to stall
Jones vs Aspinall is quite possibly the greatest match-up the UFC can possibly make.
In one corner stands arguably the most talented mixed martial artist who’s ever graced the octagon, and in the other, a warrior capable of rendering any opponent he connects with unconscious with just a single shot.
However, as of yet a showdown between the skilful American and the dangerous Brit is yet to be signed.
With that in mind, White is willing to take drastic action to get Jones vs Aspinall over the line.
