IRONMAN superstar Laura Philipp has revealed her race schedule for 2025 and is going for a German triple

Redefining Triathlon For Every Athlete

German superstar Laura Philipp is going back to her roots to kickstart her 2025 season.

The reigning IRONMAN World Champion was already down to compete at Challenge Roth in July when she’s aiming to make it third-time lucky after two top-three finishes at the iconic event.

But now she’s announced she will be warming up for Roth with two more races on home soil as she looks to build on her success last year.

German triple

Posting on her official Instagram, she wrote: “Time to reveal my first races of the season! 😍🎉 Thanks for all your tips – many of you have already made the right guesses. 🕵️‍♀️ I’ll be kicking off my 2025 triathlon season with the German triple 🇩🇪:
➡️ 25.05. – Ironman 70.3 Kraichgau
➡️ 01.06. – Ironman Hamburg
➡️ 06.07. – Challenge Roth
I couldn’t be more excited to get back into racing mode 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️💥
Let’s gooo! 💪🔥”

Philipp put on a masterclass to win the IMWC in Nice last September, seeing off Kat Matthews in tremendous style on the Cote d’Azur.

Now she is targeting a first victory at Challenge Roth, after coming third in 2022 and then runner-up last year as first Daniela Ryf and then Anne Haug broke the world record for the fastest-ever full-distance time around Roth.

“Finally that time again”

The 37-year-old ended last year admitting she found it hard to focus after her big win in Nice, ending the season with a whimper.

But in an earlier Insta post this week she wrote: “My level of excitement about standing on a start line again is more and more increasing. Soon it will finally be that time again!”

Philipp is training in Mallorca and in a YouTube video posted on Wednesday, she added: “The volume is still building, but it’s time to shift into the next gear.

“With the first race of the season just weeks away, intensity is creeping in – especially in the pool. The sessions get sharper, the focus tighter – and somewhere along the way, it felt like a switch flipped. The rhythm is returning. The body remembers. 2025 is already underway – and it’s picking up speed.”
