Insomniac Games have accidentaly revealed the upcoming Spider-Man 2 DLC through the March 7 update.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to 2018’s acclamed Marvel’s Spider-Man, and the third the game Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, the second one was the Miles Morales spinoff.
With several nominations, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t bag any award at The Game Awards hosted last year. However, the game is set to feature a DLC, and Insomniac may have shared whats to come through a bug that shared the developer menu. Insomniac Games was quick to ship a hotfix for the issue, but fans across social media did notice everything and we have details on what was revealed in the developer menu so far.
Upcoming ‘Beetle Invasion’ DLC Leaked
The leaked DLC plans for Spider-Man 2 revealed the titles “Beetle Invasion,” “Extreme Carnage,” and “Spider-Verse Anomaly.” However, the leaked content should taken with a pinch of salt as the game developer’s plans might have changed down the road. The notorius villain Carnage was teased in the side quest in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as Cletus Kasady was seen escaping with a red colored symbiote and hoped to bring “truth, judgement, and carnage.
The third DLC “Spider-Verse Anomaly revealed is slated to feature Sony’s Spider-verse animated characters, and we already received a glimpse of that in the game earlier.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 received a hefty update that introduced new symbiote suits, a new Game+ mode and several new features that allowed players to also change the time of the day in the game. The March 7 update added the ability to replay missions and also introduced a new difficulty level called “Ultimate” to please completionists.
The developer menu opens up several “chapters” and levels of the upcoming DLC, which is revealed to end in a boss fight. Beetle is a lesser known B-list Spider-Man villain, but the first one in the series made Mr. Negative, a newly written Spider-Man villain one of the main opponents. Mr.Negative received his so called “redemption arc” in the second installment, and we can’t waut to see Insomniac does with “The Beetle”.

- PlayStation Trophy The game features a new trophy for completing the story in the New Game+ mode.

- Mission Replay: Replay *that* mission (and many others) as much as you’d like now
- Time of Day: Change the time of day in the post-game via ‘Gameplay’ settings
- Tendril Colors: Swap symbiote tendril color in the post-game via ‘Gameplay’ settings
- Photo Mode – Action Figure Mode: This festure allows players to scale down characters to smaller sizes in photo mode.
- Photo Mode – Stickers: Adds stickers to the photo mode.
- Hellfire Gala Suits: The game adds 2 new suits inspired by the Hellfire Gala designs.
- Gameheads Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack: This features the addition of two new suits for Peter and Miles.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available to play on the PlayStation 5.
