Myles Garrett Agree Extension With Browns, Joe Burrow’s Nemesis to Remain in Division

CINCINNATI — The Browns are signing Myles Garrett to a contract extension that averages $40 million per year and includes $123.5 million in guaranteed money accordint to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
He’s the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Garrett had previously demanded a trade, but the new contract helped resolve his issues. He also has a no-trade clause.
The Browns superstar and former Defensive Player of the Year has been a thorn in the Bengals’ side since Cleveland took him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The former No. 1 overall pick is 8-4 against the Bengals. He was 8-2 prior to the 2024 season.
Garrett has 13 sacks, 13 tackles for loss and 27 quarterback hits in 12 games against Cincinnati.
There isn’t another single player that has made things harder for Burrow and the Bengals’ offense.
