By the halfway mark of the race, Lawrence caught up to Tomac and took the lead in the sand section, leaving Tomac stuck amidst slower traffic. From there on, it was smooth sailing for Lawrence as he asserted sole control of the points.

RJ Hampshire convincingly clinched victory in the 250SX Showdown. The Rockstar Husqvarna rider needed to win to stay in the championship hunt, and he did just that in Nashville. Hampshire led every lap of the main event to secure the win and now sits atop the points standings.
