‘Skinny’ Leon Edwards receives ominous warning from Sean Brady after first UFC London face off

The excitement ahead of UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Brady is building nicely.
The UFC returns to The O2 Arena in London, England, this weekend for a stacked Fight Night card that’s full of top-level British and Irish MMA talent.
The cherry on top of this FN cake is a welterweight showdown between former champion Leon Edwards and surging American Sean Brady, who came face-to-face yesterday morning.

Sean Brady reacts to Leon Edwards face off ahead of UFC London
Earlier this week, Sean Brady and Leon Edwards ventured out towards The O2 Arena in London, England, to come face-to-face for the first time ahead of their main event clash on March 22.
“It was cool, the man’s tall, skinny – you know, like he’s a tall guy,” Brady told MMA Junkie about the face off, laughing that it was the quickest face off he’s ever had in the UFC.
“It was literally four seconds of us facing off, it was the quickest interaction that I’ve ever had in my life, so I can’t take much from that.”
With only a few days to go; the wider MMA community is split on who they think will win on Saturday evening – the bookies have Brady as a slight favorite, while Tapology Community Picks go ever-so-slightly in Edwards’ favor.
“Listen, I have nothing but respect for Leon, that’s how I am with all these guys, it’s nothing personal, just business,” stated the 17-1 American, before teasing that Edwards has never faced someone with his particular skillset before.
“You can’t prepare for something that you’ve never felt before you know, and that’s where guys get surprised… Like they see me and go ‘This guy’s strong’, this and that, but until you feel my grip, my squeeze, and the pressure I put on you, it’s going to be different.
“He talks about how he’s always fighting grapplers, but he doesn’t do great against them either.”
Sean Brady says there’ll be no hometown advantage for Leon Edwards
Aside from their varying fight styles and main event experience, arguably one of Edwards’ biggest advantages over the American is the fact that he’ll have 17,000+ screaming fans behind him.
However, Brady isn’t worried about his opponents’ hometown advantage; in fact, he believes that it could play into his gameplan to bring the fight to ‘Rocky’.
“I believe in myself 100% that I can fly anywhere in this world and beat whoever I need to beat… At the end of the day, everyone keeps talking about The O2 and all these people [backing Leon] but you know, I do this every single day, once we get in there and it’s just me and him, nothing else matters.
“None of that noise matters, none of these people can fight for him, he can only fight for himself, and I’m going to take the fight to him.”
“None of these people can fight for him.”
Sean Brady believes O2 Arena’s atmosphere won’t give Leon Edwards any advantage when they collide in the main event at #UFCLondon.

Brady bounced back from a shock KO loss to Belal Muhammad in 2022 with a submission win over Kelvin Gastelum in 2023 and a unanimous decision win over Gilbert Burns in his last bout.
“He’s a very good striker, a technical striker,” continued Brady on the incoming main event: “But this isn’t a kickboxing match, it’s a fight.
“I’m going to make it dirty, and I don’t think he’s comfortable there.”
UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Brady goes down live on Saturday, March 22.
