Top community tournaments of January 2025
The first month of 2025 has already concluded with many tournaments organized on Toornament. And there was something for all playstyles and levels, from Halo Infinite and Age of Empires II to Marvel Rivals and League of Legends. Let’s discover some of the top tournaments of January.
European Halo Kick-Off 2025
The ATLAS organization held one of the biggest European and annual tournaments on the game Halo Infinite. Sixteen teams from across the continent were gathered on an all PC battlefield across two days in order to be crowned the first champion of 2025. In addition to the title, £1,000 was up for grabs for the best teams. ATLAS opted for a tournament of two stages, a first in Swiss round then a second with the remaining 8 in a double elimination bracket. The English team Into The Breach won the tournament without losing a round, beating BH3 in the final.
ESC Invitational on COD:Black Ops 6
On the other side of the Atlantic, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is in the spotlight with the ESC Invitational. This online tournament organized by Esports Circuit brings together 48 teams. They have been competing for a week now and will continue throughout the month of February for $1,000 in prize money. The organizer has divided the 48 teams into a league on Toornament platform, consisting of 4 divisions of 12 teams each. At the end of this stage, the 16 best will compete in double elimination Playoffs.
RTBF Ixpé on Marvel Rivals
The Belgian national TV channel RTBF loves esports and has been making it known for several years by organizing grassroot tournaments. For its 2025 edition, The RTBF has opted for the game Marvel Rivals and once again the French agency Bold House to organize the competition in team. No less than €5,000 will be up for grabs in the final on February 8 and 9. To access the final, teams will have to qualify in one of the 4 online cups organized between January 28 and February 6.
LPLOL Winter Split Qualifier
The Portuguese agency Inygon plays a very active role in the organization and broadcasting of many major tournaments and leagues in the country. Recently, they organized the qualifying tournament to participate in the Winter 2025 season of LPLOL, the major league of Legends league in Portugal. On this occasion, 64 teams competed for 2 days on the Toornament platform. At the end of the second day, it was the well-known Grow Up team that won the place and accessed the official league.
The Garrison qualifier on Age of Empire II
The legendary game Age of Empire II is still very active on Toornament despite its great age. As proof, the Toornament platform is currently hosting The Garrison qualifying tournament organized by Being Esports a brand of the Being X GmbH. With $4,000 in prize money, this qualifying tournament brought together 64 players and allowed 4 players to join the 8 finalists of the grand final. The final event will be held in Hamburg, Germany from March 13 to 16 with no less than $40,000 in prize money up for grabs.
