Leon Edwards will still headline UFC Fight Night 255 in London, though his opponent has changed.
With Jack Della Maddalena sliding into the UFC 315 title fight vs. Belal Muhammad, Edwards (22-4 MMA, 14-3 UFC) now faces Sean Brady in the March 22 main event in London.
UFC CEO Dana White announced the news Wednesday on social media, along with various other fights.
Edwards aims to rebound at home. He has not competed since he lost the UFC welterweight title to Muhammad in July. The loss was his first since Muhammad defeated him in their initial meeting in 2015.
Brady (17-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) enters the fight on consecutive wins over Kelvin Gastelum and Gilbert Burns. Both were decisions. Brady’s only career loss came against the current champion Muhammad.
With the change, the UFC Fight Night 255 lineup now includes:
- Leon Edwards vs. Sean Brady
- Jan Blachowicz vs. Carlos Ulberg
- Kevin Holland vs. Gunnar Nelson
- Mick Parkin vs. Marcin Tybura
- Shauna Bannon vs. Puja Tomar
- Christian Leroy Duncan vs. Andrey Pulyaev
- Molly McCann vs. Istela Nunes
- Morgan Charriere vs. Nathaniel Wood
- Nathan Fletcher vs. Caolan Loughran
- Felipe Dos Santos vs. Lone’er Kavanagh
- Jai Herbert vs. Chris Padilla
- Chris Duncan vs. Jordan Vucenic
