UFC on ESPN 57 post-event facts: Punahele Soriano sets multiple new all-time UFC records


The UFC returned to Louisville, Ky., for the first time since 2011 Saturday with UFC on ESPN 57 at the KFC Yum! Center, and though the card started slow, it picked up late.

Although controversial, Nassourdine Imavov (14-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) picked up the last of six stoppage results when he earned a fourth-round TKO of Jared Cannonier (17-7 MMA, 10-7 UFC) in the middleweight headliner.

Nassourdine Imavov def. Jared Cannonier

Imavov improved to 2-1 in UFC headliners.

Imavov has earned 10 of his 14 career victories by stoppage.

Cannonier fell to 7-3 since he dropped to the UFC middleweight division in November 2018.

Cannonier has suffered all three of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Dustin Jacoby (19-9-1 MMA, 7-6-1 UFC) fell to 7-5-1 since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in October 2020.

Rosas Jr. (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has earned eight of his nine career victories by stoppage. That includes all three of his UFC wins.

Ricky Turcios (12-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) suffered the first submission loss of his career.

Ferreira (12-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has earned all three of his UFC victories by knockout.

Ferreira earned the eighth knockout in UFC history stemming from a spinning back elbow.

Reese (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has earned all seven of his career victories by stoppage.

Julian Marquez’s (9-5 MMA, 3-5 UFC) three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since April 2021.

Marquez has suffered all three of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Puna Soriano def. Miguel Baeza

Puna Soriano (10-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) was successful in his UFC welterweight debut.

Soriano landed 136 significant ground strikes, a new single-fight record for a UFC bout.

Soriano outlanded his opponent by +309 total strikes, a single-fight record for a three-round UFC bout.

Miguel Baeza (10-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) has suffered four consecutive losses after starting his career 10-0.

Ludovit Klein def. Thiago Moises

Ludovit Klein’s (22-4-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) six-fight unbeaten streak in UFC lightweight competition is the second-longest active streak in the division behind Islam Makhachev (13).

Thiago Moises (18-8 MMA, 7-6 UFC) has suffered seven of his nine career losses by decision.

Carlos Prates def. Charlie Radtke

Prates (19-6 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has earned 18 of his 20 career victories by stoppage.

Charlie Radtke (9-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Brad Katona def. Jesse Butler

Brad Katona (14-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) has earned 10 of his 14 career victories by decision. That includes all four of his UFC wins.

Jesse Butler (12-6 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered four of his six career losses by decision.

Montana De La Rosa def. Andrea Lee

Andrea Lee’s (13-10 MMA, 5-8 UFC) five-fight losing skid is tied for the longest of her career. She hasn’t earned a victory since November 2021.

Lee has suffered eight of her nine career losses by decision. That includes all eight of her UFC defeats.

Lee’s four split-decision losses in UFC competition are tied with three other fighters for most in company history.

Daniel Marcos def. John Castaneda

Daniel Marcos (16-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has earned two of his three UFC victories by decision.

John Castaneda (21-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC) fell to 5-5 in his past 10 fights dating back to November 2017.

Castaneda has suffered five of his seven career losses by decision.

Denise Gomes def. Eduardo Moura

Eduarda Moura (10-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) had her 10-fight UFC winning streak snapped for the first defeat of her career.

Puja Tomar def. Rayanne dos Santos

Puja Tomar (9-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC) became the first Indian-born female fighter to earn a UFC victory.
