Former Philadelphia Eagles great Jason Kelce made his broadcasting debut on Monday Night Football as his old team took on the Atlanta Falcons, and he gave fans some insight into the famous “tush push” play.
The legendary center broke down the play he was a major part of during his career as the Eagles ran it on fourth and short in the fourth quarter.
“I think we’ve been waiting to get one run this well,” he said. “They do a great job of coming up, trying to get a free one there with the hard count, and still running. The left side, Jordan Mailata weighs 365 pounds, who’s stopping him for half a yard?”

Philadelphia converted its first “tush push” of the drive, and the Eagles went to it a few plays later on the goal line to score and take a 16-15 lead. While Kelce will likely do his best to stay objective while in the broadcast booth, he couldn’t help but give the play a “there we go.”

Kelce had a legendary NFL career, but his post-playing days are already rivaling his time on the field. He’s become an off-the-field star thanks to his podcast with his brother Travis, commercial deals and other ventures. Now, he’s trying something new by getting in the broadcasting booth, and it hasn’t disappointed so far.
