2025 NFL Draft Quarterback Rankings

The 2025 NFL Draft quarterback class offers a fairly mixed bag of talent. At the top, Cam Ward headlines the group with a first-round grade thanks to his elite traits, but this class lacks a true blue chip talent at the position. Behind him, Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Shough have received a lot of buzz in the media, but have some major questions on tape. The middle rounds are filled with intriguing traits-based prospects like Jaxson Dart, Jalen Milroe, and Will Howard, each possessing physical gifts but lack refinement. Meanwhile, veterans like Dillon Gabriel and Kurtis Rourke offer polished, pro-ready skill sets with lower ceilings. It’s a class deep in potential and quality backups, but lacking true first round talent.

1. Cam Ward – Miami – Grade: 87.1 – Round: 1
Ward is a dynamic playmaker with an NFL-ready arm and the athleticism to extend plays outside of structure. He took a leap in consistency at Miami, showing improved footwork and decision-making that solidified his status as a first-rounder.

2. Shedeur Sanders – Colorado – Grade: 82.3 – Round: 3
Sanders has natural touch and accuracy, with historic NFL bloodlines. Concerns remain about his ability to navigate pressure and throw under pressure, but the potential to be a starting-caliber option is there.

3. Tyler Shough – Louisville – Grade: 82.6 – Round: 3
Shough has ideal size and arm talent with experience in multiple systems. Injuries have limited his development, and his age is a concern, but his flashes of high-level play make him an intriguing mid-round developmental QB.

4. Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss – Grade: 81.5 – Round: 4
Dart is a true gamer with toughness and mobility who throws with velocity with a smooth release. While his mechanics and accuracy can be inconsistent, his competitive edge and natural tools give him starter traits.

5. Dillon Gabriel – Oregon – Grade: 81.0 – Round: 4
Gabriel is a smart, accurate quarterback who excels in rhythm and gets the ball out quickly. Size and arm strength limitations cap his ceiling, but he projects as a high-end backup with spot-starter ability who could thrive as a point guard type quarterback.

6. Jalen Milroe – Alabama – Grade: 80.4 – Round: 5
Milroe is an explosive athlete with a cannon arm and rare rushing ability for the position. His processing and accuracy remain raw, but he’s a high-upside project who could thrive in a creative offense.

7. Will Howard – Ohio State – Grade: 80.3 – Round: 5
Howard is a physically gifted QB with a strong arm and good pocket presence. He showed flashed of good play during Ohio State’s National Championship run, but he’ll need to continue to develop at the next level.

8. Kurtis Rourke – Indiana – Grade: 77.3 – Round: 6
Rourke brings solid poise and accuracy from the pocket, with experience running a pro-style offense at Ohio before transferring to Indiana. He lacks top-end traits, but he’s a polished passer who could carve out a backup role.

9. Kyle McCord – Syracuse – Grade: 76.9 – Round: 6
McCord is a rhythm passer with adequate traits and experience. His decision-making and mobility are question marks, leaving him as an OK backup option in the late rounds.

10. Riley Leonard – Notre Dame – Grade: 75.6 – Round: 7
Leonard offers great size and athleticism with a dual-threat profile that flashes in both the run and pass game, he is a good athlete that deserves a late-round flier who can contribute on special teams.
