The trailer is lengthy and features the protagonist. He is a rogue ninja who seeks revenge for his family’s murder. The trailer showcases some violent scenes as he tracks down the criminals. It includes fantastic action sequences and promises to offer a good dose of gore.

Adult Swim aired the anime with both its English dub and Japanese audio with English subtitles during the Toonami programming block on February 10, 2024. The anime was streamed on Max the following day.

Sunghoo Park (known for Jujutsu Kaisen) directed the anime at his own studio, E&H Production and Sola Entertainment. So, you can already tell how action-packed it will be. 

Episode 1 is marked by an unrelenting and intense quality. From the onset, the series establishes a brutal tone with an extended sequence of violence. A man, whose identity remains unknown to us, is relentlessly pursued and ultimately executed. 

Despite his efforts to fight back, he is overpowered by a swarm of militant ninjas, who repeatedly stab and pierce him until he is rendered immobile. 

Although this nameless man is of little consequence to the overarching plot of the series, this opening sequence effectively sets the stage for what viewers can expect from the show.

About Ninja Kamui

Ninja Kamui is an upcoming original anime series by Adult Swim directed by Sunghoo Park. It follows an ex-ninja Joe Higan who left his violent past behind to settle in rural America with his family.

One unfortunate night, his former organization kills him and his family as a bloody retribution. However, they couldn’t kill Joe who re-emerges as his past self to avenge his loved ones.
