Belkin Qi2 wireless chargers debut with up to 15W wireless charging for Apple iPhones
Belkin has updated its wireless charger lineup by introducing two Belkin Qi2 wireless chargers at CES 2024. These can charge Apple iPhones at 15 watts and should also be compatible with future Android phones that come with the new Qi2 standard.
Two new Belkin wireless chargers have joined the brand’s wireless charger lineup. They go by BoostCharge Pro Convertible MagSafe Charger and BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 wireless charger. Both support the Qi2 charging standard, making them capable of charging Apple iPhones at 15W wirelessly.
Regarding the design, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Convertible Qi2 wireless charger adopts a folding mechanism. It allows users to switch from a flat charging setup to an upright setup. This convertible feature will let iPhone users enjoy the standby mode that Apple introduced with iOS 17.
As it features the Qi2 charging tech that Apple integrated support for with the release of iOS 17.2, the Belkin charger has magnets that can hold your iPhone when it’s standing upright. It also means you don’t need to worry about the wireless coil alignment when you put the phone on the wireless charger.
When it comes to pricing, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Convertible MagSafe wireless charger is currently available for pre-orders on Amazon at $59.99. It will start shipping from January 31.
Next up is the Belkin Pro 2-in-1, which, as the name suggests, can wirelessly charge your phone and an accessory, such as the AirPods, simultaneously. The main pad of the wireless charger supports 15W speeds through the Qi2 standard, while the secondary pad supports 5W via the Qi coil.
It’s basically an upgraded version of the 2-in-1 wireless charger Belkin debuted last fall. As an updated model, it has a smaller form factor, making it a good pick as a travel charger. It is available for purchase from Amazon at $79.99.
