Bitmovin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its team and help build better video experience through its Streams product. Streams offer a simple, three-step process to create a stream, embed it, and monitor it, making it easy to bring engaging video content to audiences.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Bitmovin, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to:
- State-of-the-art, high performance code: The focus is on developing code that is both highly performant and scalable, meeting the demands of even the largest video content providers.
- Building and enhancing our Streams product: You will play a crucial role in helping Bitmovin maintain its position as a leader in the video streaming industry, contributing to the development of new features and capabilities.
- Working with a talented team: Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation and creativity.

Your Impact
You will make an impact that matters by:
- Development of high-quality, high-performance, fault-tolerant, well-tested, reusable, and scalable software that will be used by millions of users worldwide.
- Working with a modern tech stack and creating Dashboards (React.js) that display metrics to users, Client integrations (JavaScript and Native iOS/Android) or the backing Java and Go microservices that power the analytics API and more
- Working with us on the design and implementation of new features of the Streams and Streams Live product
- Driving quality by writing unit, functional and performance tests
- Taking ownership of features from design to implementation and testing to deployment
- Continually evaluating emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve
- Driving your own ideas for code and process improvements
- Work on interesting problems that you simply would not have anywhere else.
What can you bring
- Proficiency in backend languages especially Java or Kotlin
- Advanced knowledge of frontend languages especially Typescript
- Experience with Spring Boot is a plus
- Experience with cloud infrastructure especially Azure and AWS is a big plus
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Solid understanding of microservices
- Passion for clean code and an eye for simplicity and pragmatism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
