Trick Nonstop Action Begins – 5 Last-Minute Predictions for WWE NXT Tonight (May 27, 2025)

WWE NXT returns to its regular Tuesday schedule following an impressive Battleground Premium Live Event on Sunday night in Tampa, Florida.
What stood out on Sunday was Trick Williams’ impressive win over Joe Hendry, which made the former NXT Champion the new TNA World Champion. With that in mind, we take a look at five last-minute predictions for the May 27 episode of NXT.
Stephanie Vaquer To Retain Her NXT Women’s Championship
Stephanie Vaquer successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground when she defeated Jordynne Grace. She will face another challenge Tuesday night on NXT.
The reigning champion will match up against Jacy Jayne in a title match. The expectation is that Vaquer will find a way to earn the victory and retain her title again.

The possibility of another NXT star showing up during the match has intrigued some fans. It’s possible this surprise guest could emerge as the next in line for the NXT Women’s Championship, as WWE Creative will likely have no plans to have Vaquer drop the title.
Ricky Saints To End His Feud With Ethan Page
Ricky Saints and Ethan Page collided at Battleground a couple of days ago, with the former standing tall and earning the victory. Two days later, they will collide on NXT, and the NXT North American Championship will be on the line in what could be the final chapter in the feud between the two superstars.
Saints has done a great job as the champion, and WWE will likely have him retain the title, with Page moving on to his next storyline.
The other scenario would be for Page to dethrone Saints and become the new champion, with the latter moving to the title picture to challenge the reigning NXT Champion Oba Femi.
Tony D’Angelo Could Be Next In Line For The NXT Championship
Myles Borne missed the opportunity to dethrone Oba Femi, and the reigning champion will be waiting to see who will step up next to challenge him for the title.
Femi recently spoke with WFLA News Channel 8 and explained why he wanted to face Tony D’Angelo for the championship.
“When it comes to true threats to my title and position, there’s not many left. Unless we outsource to TNA or we outsource to the main roster and find someone who is worthy to challenge. But based on story and sequential occurences, I do have a loss to Tony D’Angelo. He took the North American Championship off of me last year around October. So if I was the booker, that would be the match to make, because he’s the last person to pin Oba Femi clean 1-2-3. But I know I can easily defeat Tony if I really wanted to,” Oba Femi said.
With that in mind, it would be no surprise if D’Angelo stepped up tonight on NXT and go after Femi, challenging him to a match in a rematch between the two superstars.
Mike Santana To Make A Statement on NXT
Mike Santana will take on Tavion Heights and look to make a statement before going after Williams, the new TNA World Champion.
Santana took to X and teased a feud with Williams after the latter beat Hendry to become the new champion.

AND I WILL.

Tuesday on NXT, he will have his first chance to make a statement and enter the title picture.
Williams To Celebrate After Winning The TNA World Championship
Williams dethroned Hendry, and he will come to NXT tonight to celebrate his victory and find out who his next opponent will be.
It will be interesting to see what direction WWE Creative will move to. Plus, many will tune in to see whether Hendry will show up to challenge him to a rematch or whether another NXT or TNA star will emerge as first in line to face Williams for the TNA World Championship.
