Two sought-after size variants of the immensely bright Mini-LED TV from Hisense have dropped to their lowest price ever. While the 55-inch version of the Hisense U8K can now be ordered for just $649, the large 75-inch version can be had for $1,149 on Amazon.
Just in time for this week’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas, several electronics retailers have introduced mentionable deals that are supposed to entice prospective TV shoppers. While one particular offer for a huge Samsung OLED TV is certainly worth consideration for high-end buyers, another deal for the Hisense U8K Mini-LED TV is targeted at a more budget-conscious group of users.
More precisely, Amazon and Best Buy are selling both the 55-inch and 75-inch SKU of the Hisense U8K for their lowest respective prices thus far. While the 75-inch model has been put on sale for a very intriguing price of $1,149 including free shipping, the much more compact 55-inch Mini-LED TV is even more affordable at just $649. Therefore, the latter Hisense TV has received a whopping 41% or $450 discount and is arguably one of the best options in the sub-$800 segment.

Although the Chinese TV manufacturer does not use a state-of-the-art OLED panel, the 120Hz VA panel sports an incredible contrast ratio of 165,360 to 1 thanks to Hisense’s very effective local dimming feature. Moreover, the Mini-LED backlight of the Hisense U8K can hit an impressive peak HDR brightness of more than 2,000 nits, which is considerably brighter than much more expensive enthusiast-grade OLED set such as the LG G3.
On the other hand, the reviewers have criticized that the Hisense U8K’s implementation of Google TV is not exactly free of software bugs.
